This one is sometimes a tough one to realize. Sometimes we realize this about our spouse or partner before we realize this in ourselves. Many of us don’t want to admit that we are pushing our child to the limit because we want to relive

This topic actually comes up a lot in therapy with kids and parents. A child will get started on some team or with some activity and partway through, will decide they don’t want do that team or activity anymore. And the parent is then left

This is basically the face I have when it is time for homework. It’s either that one kid has assured me they have “no homework” (and I hesitantly believe them)… or… this is the 5th grade math figuring-it-out-face.  Don’t judge. I was awesome at math.
